Description
Photograph of women in a cart being pulled by oxen, possibly for a parade for the opening of a tunnel, [s.d.]. The women can be seen standing in an enclosed cart made from wooden poles. They are wearing ruffled Spanish dresses and lace headpieces. The two oxen that can be seen pulling the cart are led by a man at right wearing jeans, a button-up shirt, and cowboy hat. Behind this man, a man wearing a suit can be seen. A man dressed in a cowboy hat, plaid shirt, and chaps is visible riding a horse behind the cart to the left. This man can be seen exiting what appears to be a tunnel mouth. A lantern can be seen attached to the tunnel to the right of the mouth, while a pattern of small circles and a spiral can be seen on the outside of the tunnel. Two children can be seen seated on a ledge at right, while a girl can be seen standing below them.
