Members of the executive board of the Los Angeles council of Boy Scouts of America departed for New York today via United Air Lines to attend the 42nd annual National Council meeting May 23-24. Shown left to right before boarding the plane are Scout Executive Arnold C. Sorenson Charles Fleishman, vice president of the Los Angeles area council (President of A.J. Bayer Company) John Northrup, members of the executive board (President of Northrup Aircraft) and Judge W. Turney Fox, president of the Los Angeles area council (Associate Justice, Court of Appeals). Leonard K. Firestone, president of the Firestone Rubber Company of California, and vice president of the Los Angeles area council, will join the group in New York where they will meet to establish a Boy Scouts of America program and policy on a national level".
