Description
Photograph of an exterior view of old jail built in the 1850's at Shasta, 1936. The jail is enclosed by a door of iron grating that stands open. Surrounding the jail wall can be seen a dirty, damaged brick wall. The ground is littered with grass and plant life that borders the pebbled trail that leads to the iron door. A portion of the interior, a room divided into cells by the same type of iron grating that the door is made of, can be seen through the doorway in the center.
