Description
Jan Burke discusses her novel, “Hocus.” She begins by explaining that this is another book in the series that follows Detective Irene Kelly. She talks about how there was an auction to name one of the characters in her book after a real person. She discusses how she brings characters back from other books and adds to their life stories. She describes how police officers can be easily bribed and corrupted. Burke talks about how she included witchcraft and magic in her book. She ends the interview by discussing selective mutism and child traumatization.
