Description
Two ladies sit on the top of a single engine airplane, next to the propeller. On the plane are the words Rheem" and "Dream". They are Mrs. Alice Roberts of Phoenix, Arixona, a housewife (on the right), and her co-pilot, Mrs. Iris Critchell of Palos Verdes. They are in training for the 9th annual Powder Puff Derby which begins on July 2nd at Long Beach and follows a 2800-mile course to Springfield, Mass. Picture dated: July 2, 1955.
