Description
Boris Karloff signing a safety plaque at the Strand Theatre circa 1936. Karloff played the role of The Monster in the film, "Bride of Frankenstein" in 1935. Safety plaque reads: "Stop! Beware, Boris Karloff". These safety plaque signings were public relations events and the plaques were later installed on the sidewalk to promote safe street crossing.
