Also have negative: no. 28,822.
2nd class screw sloop built at the Boston Navy Yard; launched in 1859. During Civil War cruised the Pacific protecting American mail steamers from Confederate forces. Back in Pacific in 1871; around 1873 part of survey and examination of the steamer routes along the coasts of California and Mexico; entered Mare Island in 1875; sold to Win. E. Mighell of San Francisco in 1883.
