An old spur of the logging railroad of the Michigan-California Lumber Company. The steel was taken up in 1919 but the ties were left. The last logs traveled over this spur in 1918. There is no seed tree of Sugar pine in sight, yet along this entire spur there are many sugar pine seedlings directly in the mineral soil of the right-of-way. This spur lies approximately in the west half of the west half of Section 29 and 30, T 12 N R 13 E. E. Fritz, May, 1925
