Description
Photograph of a view of Compton Boulevard from Willobrook Avenue during the flood of 1914. Tramped mud can be seen between the two streetcar rails that cut from left to right across the foreground, while a pile of strewn lumber can be seen just behind it to the right. In the background, commercial buildings can be seen to either side of the sodden street, a church visible to the left behind the foliage of a tree. Water still appears to be flowing over the road in a thin sheet.
