Inside you are meeting the Lama, the supreme religious leader of the place. And you participate in the meditation teaching, normally taking between 3 and 6 weeks. You are completely secluded from the outside world, living these weeks in meditation and silence. Many young Westeners experience to meditate themselves 'empty in the brain'. Some also become mental depressed. (Photo 1986).
