Description
Connie and Loren begin the interview discussing sun spots and how the atmosphere on stars works. Connie displays select photos from the book, and Loren gives some explanation for them, before moving on to talk about how collaborative space exploration is and Loren’s particular voyage and education background. Connie and Loren then discuss the impact of his training and voyage on his family, and how space travel is a reinforcing rather than a transforming experience, before reflecting on how he felt when embarking on the trip. They then consider the debriefing period after the voyage and Loren’s motivation to write the book, SDI and nuclear waste disposal in outer space, and the decreasing diversity of the world due to humanity’s actions. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
