Description: "Old residency Zomba". Exterior view showing a wide path leading towards a large brick building, the path is partially fenced. The ‘Old Residency’ was the name of the official British Consul residency built by the Buchanan brothers, beside their plantation at Zomba, in 1886 for Consul Hawes. The grounds were turned into a botanical garden.
