Photograph was edited for publication purposes.; Title supplied by cataloger. Robert Andersen is the owner of Pea Soup Andersen's located in Buellton, California. The name of the restaurant and owner are misidentified as 'Anderson' in the article.; The Van Nuy Skyways can be seen in the background, located at 16700 Roscoe Blvd., Van Nuys at the Van Nuys Airport. Photograph article dated November 13, 1964 partially reads, "Pea Soup Anderson's [sic], the place that made Buellton famous, continues to serve that beyond-description split pea soup in plate-sized bowls. And now it has a distinguished wine cellar laden with this state's finest vintages. Of course the food is excellent, otherwise Anderson's wouldn't be serving 3,000 people on an average weekend. To celebrate the restaurant's 40th anniversary, Robert Anderson [sic], founder and owner, bought himself an airplane! He's been piloting planes for three years, annually spends 500 hours in the air, travels about 85,000 miles a year. He flys [sic] from Buellton to Van Nuys airport in 50 minutes. That's where I met and talked with Mr. Pea Soup Himself."
