Description
Hollywood friends of Noel Coward, noted English playwright, song writer and actor, are shown on February 2, 1939, drinking a toast to him in his suite on the liner Monterey, on which he sailed from Los Angeles harbor for Pago Pago. Left to right, Ray Bolger, film dancer; Cary Grant and Marlene Dietrich, film stars; Coward, and Michael Brooke, the Earl of Warwick. Coward will stay in Pago Pago to write plays.
