Title supplied by cataloger. Formed in 1979 by brothers Dave and Phil Alvin of Downey, California, The Blasters play what they refer to as "American Music"--a hybrid of rockabilly, blues, and mountain music. The band was a fixture in the L.A. punk scene and their music has been prominently featured in television shows, movies and video games. First photograph caption dated August 9, 1982 reads, "Blasters' lead singer Phil Alvin works up a sweat at Hollywood Palladium."; Second photograph caption dated January 12, 1987 reads, "Phil Alvin performed without the Blasters."
