Series of images of Mammoth Grove: The Mother of the Forest 90 feet in gr. 327 feet high. Bark taken off 20 ft; The Big Tree 96 feet in circumference. 300 feet high. Was cut down on July 1852, employed 5 men 25 days in boring and sawing it off; The Pioneers Cabin 33 feet in diameter, 150 feet high Ten being broken off; The Miners Cabin 80 ft in gr. 300 feet high; The Horseback Ride Distance through 75 feet, 12 feet in the dia. ; The Three Graces Circum of the Three 90 feet 300 feet high; The Father of the Forest 112 feet in circumference estimated height when standing 450 feet; and, General view of the Hotel & surrounding Forest.
