Image of an elevated landscape view of Dubuque, Iowa, as viewed from across the Mississippi River; steamboats sail on the river; log cabins in foreground.
Date supplied by cataloger based on artist history; J.C. Wild painted cities and towns of the upper Mississippi in the last years of his life, and died in 1846. "Painted and litho: by J.C. Wild."--text, bottom left margin. "J.C. Wild"--text, artist's signature, bottom right of image.
