Description
Photograph of students from Marshall School planting trees. As part of Arbor Day, the American Tree Association registered every tree planted in Sacramento that day to its National Honor Roll. 700 students from Marshall School marched to New Helvetia Cemetery (now the site of Sutter Middle School) on March 7, 1923 to plant memorial trees. Taken in 1923.
