Description
Photograph of a Ku Klux Klan meeting in Bear Valley, ca.1920. It is nighttime, and light is being broadcast from past the left side of the image, creating long shadows. At the center of the image, a group of white-robed men is gathered around a cross, apparently initiating a nearby group of darkly clad men. Still more men in white robes form a perimeter around the ceremony, keeping observers at a healthy distance. The cross is in a clearing in a lightly forested area.
