Thomas Osborne discusses his book, Coastal Sage: Peter Douglas and the Fight to Save California’s Shore. Mr. Osborne provides a brief biographical profile of Peter Douglas, discusses the founding of the California Coastal Commission (“the most powerful land use agency in the United States”), discusses Douglas’ leadership capabilities and challenges to his leadership, and reviews Douglas’ legacy.
