Description
This photograph was taken during the construction of the Buffalo Brewery on June 6, 1889. It was located at 1717 21st St., between Q and R streets. Touted during its construction as "the most complete brewing establishment on the Pacific Coast," the Buffalo was built for roughly $400,000. It also contained an artificial ice plant that could produce between 30 and 40 tons of ice daily.
