Description
Paul R. Williams was the most influential African-American architect in Los Angeles history in a career that spanned six decades and included houses for millionaires, churches, housing projects, and landmark restaurants. Along with the 28th Street YMCA, the church was among one of the first nonresidential projects in the Black community; it was built in 1924.
