Photograph edited for publication purposes. Photograph article dated March 19, 1962 partially reads, "Jude Poynter, a six handicapper, is the new Woodland Hills Country Club golf champion as result of defeating Glen Giesler in a sudden death playoff. Poynter dethroned Dean Jones. Poynter came from five strokes off the pace Saturday for a 54-hole total of 224 to end up in a tie with Giesler who 'blew' to an 81. The leaders played two extra holes when Poynter parred the 135-yard par three second hole and Giesler bogeyed it, Poynter won the crown. Wally Cawelti and Marty Berry shared third place." Photograph caption reads, "Golf rivals chat after playoff - Glen Giesler, left, and Jude Poynter, new champ."
