Note with photo reads: "Rachel Carson, distinguished marine biologist and author, whose "The Sea Around Us" brought her world fame a decade ago, delivered the address at Scripps College's 32nd commencement in Claremont Tuesday afternoon. She is shown going over the program with stage and screen actor Vincent Price, a trustee of Scripps, and Dr. Frederick Hard, president of the college. Miss Carson's latest book "Silent Spring," which is to be published in October and which formed the basis for her commencement address, will appear in three installments in the New Yorker beginning tomorrow."
