Photograph was edited for publication purposes The Hi-Y Club was created to help promote Christian character in high school boys through emphasis in speech skills, sportsmanship and scholastic achievement. The Hi-Y service clubs eventually grew into the "four fronts" program which included the Hi-Y Club for high school boys, Jr. Hi-Y Club for middle school children, Tri Hi-Y Club for girls, and the Gra-Y Club for grade school children.
