Description
Photograph caption dated October 9, 1957 reads, "Sheriff's deputy Roland J. Barton begins dropping 32,000 pounds of rye seed in Twin Lakes area of Valley near Santa Susana Pass which was hit by 3,200-acre brush fire last July. It was one of season's worst and caused mass evacuation of area. Cost of operation is estimated at $1,650. It will take four more days to complete."
