Inside view of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church located on the corner of McKinley Ave. and 50th Street in Los Angeles. Photo shows a very large stained glass cathedral-style window. Sunlight is almost impenetrable through this ornate window, as the pews seen in this photo appear to be completely dark. Stained glass windows have been described as 'illuminated wall decorations' and were commonly used in churches for decorative and informative purposes. Verso on photograph states that in 1920 this church was known as South Park Baptist Church, and in 1945 it became Zion Hill Baptist Church; however it does not list when it acquired its current name. Photo dated: 2004.
