Photograph of a montage of photographs of twenty-six men -- the first Chinese consular corps sent to the United States, showing Ambassador His Excellency Chun Lan Pin at top center, July 1870. Each portrait is from the chest up. They all (except one) wear single-color frocks and skullcaps. Eight of them (top row only) have moustaches including Chun who also has a white beard. Caption at bottom reads "His excellency [three Chinese characters] Chung Lan Pin, embassador and 1st Chinese Embassy and Consular Corps to the United States, San Francisco, July 26, 1870".
