Photograph was edited for publication purposes. The San Fernando Hospital, located at 732 Mott Street in San Fernando, was built in 1922. In 1958, the hospital underwent a $225,000 expansion, adding 10,000 sq. feet, a new maternity ward, and a capacity of 75 beds. In 1976, the hospital was bought by the the San Fernando Community Hospital, whose name was adopted until a merger with the Panorama Community Hospital in 1994, forming the Mission Community Hospital. Photograph caption dated July 18, 1958 reads, "Yawning her first big yawn is Rose Marie Kellerman, shown in arms of her mother, Mrs. Margaret Kellerman of Sylmar. Rose Marie's birth was first for new maternity wing of San Fernando Hospital; 12th in Kellerman family."
