Description
A report on the events from August 27th through September 3rd, 1971 related to the death of George Jackson in San Quentin prison. Included are statements by black legislators who visited San Quentin to investigate charges of brutality, statements by prison officials regarding additional security and programming changes at the prison, and statements by the Marin District Attorney concerning the alleged escape attempt and the indictment of Stephen Bingham.
