Description
A photograph of the metal key that locked the cells containing the people who conspired in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. The key has a wide flat loop at one end, and the bit is two separate pieces, each with a pair of notches.
Printed text on verso reads "Key of Prison, that Locked in, the conspirators of President A. Lincoln ; one 1/4 the size". Tipped into Oldroyd, The assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
