Title

Description
From Saldoha Leprosy Colony, Santal Parganas, North India. Jørgen Nørgaard Pedersen is visiting, December 1983. The work was founded in 1923 by Missionary, Engineer Eli Bøgh, who wanted patients to live in an ordinary village with work according to ability, having community council, etc. And the colony developed to a model institution with farming and gardening activities as part of the therapy, and as a contribution to the economy, as well. Together with his brother, Missionary Doctor Boe Bojesen Bøgh, he founded a hospital as center of the colony. (Later Saldoha is handed over to The Leprosy Mission International/TLMI).
