Photograph of a painting in the dining room of the athenaeum at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, July 1, 1934. The large oil painting can be seen on a wall at center. It has a metallic frame and depicts three unidentified academics wearing dark robes. A light can be seen over the painting. The wall on which the painting is hung is covered by wooden paneling, while a wooden cupboard is visible beneath the picture. A candle stick can be seen at right.
