Swimming classes are held atthe private residence of Mrs. Trevor Gardner, 1324 North Sierra Madre Villa Ave. Mrs. Gardner has donated the pool so that youngsters in the neighborhood might learn to swim. Caption slip continues: 113: Janice McCann, 7, of Pasadena, demonstrates he 'special' dive off board. She, having mastered the initial steps in learning how to swim, is not learning how to dive. 150-151: Cornelia Foster, 14 months, of Pasadena, is seen in arms of instructor L.V. Bud Lynden receiving kicking instructions. Youngsters in the swimming class range in age from 14 months to 17 years. Instruction is given twice weekly. 112: Four youngsters can be seen swimming acress pool under the watchful eye of Instructor L.V. Bud Lynden, swimming coach at the Pasadena Athletic Club. 2: Seven-year-old Carol Grizzle of Pasadena, one of 64 youngsters in the neighborhood swimming class, braves the width of the pool with the security of a rubber inner-tube around her body".
