Description
Richard Gutierrez in the Del Monte Plant #3 Warehouse. Warehouseman Ricardo Gutierrez worked at started work at Del Monte in 1952. Ricardo was the foreman in the empty can department when he retired thirty-six years later. Warehouse job were given exclusively to men until the 1980's. During the packing season, a large proportion of the filled cans were not labeled. This work was saved until the off-season. His wife Elida Gutierrez worked at Del Monte from 1952 until 1996.
