Description
Panoramic four-panel photograph of the Marconi station at Marshalls, California. A paper label on the front of the photograph reads, "Trans-Pacific Radio Receiving Station erected 1913 at Marshalls, California, under the direction of F. M. Sammis, Chief Engineer, Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company of America (Now Radio Corporation of America). On the reverse of the last panel, in handwritten letters, "Trans-Pacific Radio Receiving Station Marshals Cal. Built by Marconi Co of America F. M. Sammis Chief Engineer." This photograph appears to have been taken at the same time as the photograph of the Marconi transmitting station at Bolinas (see 2003-1-267).
