Text next to photo on face of card reads: "Jackie" Coogan, the 9 year-old movie star -- THE KID in Chaplin's latest picture, using BASSICK graphite penetrating OIL on his scooter. Verso of card is an advertisement for Bassick graphite penetrating oil, with a rubber stamp for the Alemite Lubricator Company, Cleveland, OH. Later in life, while a student at Santa Clara University, Coogan witnessed the lynching of Brooke Hart's kidnappers in St. James Park in November, 1933.
