In the left foreground three horses and riders move diagonally into the photo; first two riders are women and the foremost rider is a man; all are on white horses; they move along a trail and have paused to observe Yosemite Falls opposite; Yosemite Falls is to the left of center in the background and cascades down the rock face to splash on a ledge before descending once again between rocks to emerge in a second cascade; women riders wear skirts but ride like a man.
