Photograph of an aerial view of the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot in Santa Monica, ca.1900. Several train tracks can be seen at center. Three trains are visible on the tracks. In the foreground at right, a large two-story house can be seen on the corner of two large dirt roads. A racetrack with a covered grandstand can be seen at right. In the background, hundreds of small houses can be seen packed very close together. The Santa Monica Hotel can be seen as well.
