Photograph of the San Dimas Dam, showing a general view of he upstream face, May 23, 1935. Dark, smooth water collects in the foreground with the paneled wall of the dam containing it at center. The dam is topped with a thin rail and a protruding box at its center. It extends from the rocky hill on the right to the forestry on the far left where the opening to the lightly-colored spillway can be seen. A dark, thick forest blankets the hills in the background.
