Description
Miss Emma Quigley (1889-1976) moved from Chicago to Los Angeles and secured a position as the secretary to Henry E. Huntington and William E. Dunn in the Los Angeles Railway Building at 11th and Broadway in December, 1921. She is listed in census records as a stenographer and librarian. One of the voices heard on the tape is that of Edwin H. Carpenter, Jr., Western American bibliographer at The Huntington Library. A transcript of this interview is available in the Henry Edwards Huntington Papers collection.
