Image of the ranch house owned by Henry Tifft Gage, a former California governor, on Rancho San Antonio (present day Bell Gardens, California), showing various potted plants on a covered porch with striped awnings.
Title transcribed from negative. Date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that film negatives came into use and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. A print of this image appears in the Huntington Library's Verne Dyson Collection (mssHM 26404) p. 205 (Box 4) under the heading "Rancho San Antonio" and has the caption: "Home of Henry T. Gage on Rancho San Antonio." The Gage Mansion, an adobe house on Rancho San Antonio that was restored by Henry Gage, is located in present day Bell Gardens at 7000 East Gage Avenue and is the oldest house in Los Angeles County.
