Description
Photograph of an olive crusher in Sylmar, before December 5, 1933. A man in stain overalls stands on the left shoveling olives into the olive crusher at center. The large, darkly-colored machine consists primarily of two giant, rotating wheels which spin over the olives inside of a large tub below them. A thin belt moves over a diagonal post which extends from the ceiling down to the floor on the left. The belt is clogged with what appear to be olive remains near the floor.
