Ridge planting above Henninger Flat, Angeles National Forest. Knobcone and coulter pines and Deodar cedar were planted in rows 3'x4' in 1905. Deodar cedar shown is typical of dwarfed conditions resulting from suppression by the pines on each side. Many of the Deodars are alive though much dwarfed. Metcalf. Feb. 1926
