Sequoia gigantea in Tuolumne Grove on Big Oak Flat Road (south of road) to Yosemite Valley. Tree in center is hollowed on butt and broken off at the top; a new top has grown up straight, beyond the break. Not a common thing in this species. June 9, 1935. E.F
