This photo shows Samuel Maiman, who was arrested on three counts covering "malicious" burning of property, according to the district attorney's office. Maiman was named in a complaint, charging him with having caused the explosion in the 12-story Garment Capitol building which injured 35 persons and caused $750,000 damage. Maiman was foreman of a garment company in the building. Photo dated: July 27, 1931.
