The twelve-story Barker Brothers Furniture building can be seen at center with its fire escape prominently visible. An American flag flies from a flagpole on the roof. Canopies extend from the windows on the first floor. A line of automobiles is stopped at the intersection while cars perpendicular to them begin to race across. To the left, a small shop can be partially seen in the foreground. More of the city is visible beyond the cars at right.
