Clark Foss was stage coach driver and hotel owner in Healdsburg. Ran a stage line from Headsburg to the Geysers. Alban Nelson Towne, born in 1829, served as assistant superintendent for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad until 1869 when became general superintendent for Central Pacific.
