Aerial view of Edwin Markham Junior High, located at 1650 E. 104th Street in the Watts section of Los Angeles; view is looking slightly southeast. Ground was broken on January 22, 1956 and the architect was William H. Harrison. Compton Avenue is middle bottom to upper right; 104th Street is lower right to middle left; Grandee Avenue is middle left to mid-photo, and railroad tracks run from middle left to top left. The Pacific Electric Watts Line is at upper left, and the Pacific Electric car house is at right. Photograph was taken for William H. Harrison (the school architect). Photograph dated October 23, 1957.
