Photograph caption dated April 8, 1965 reads "Steve Morris of John Burroughs High School and brother of Ron Morris, former USC pole 3/8 vaulting star, is shown clearing the bar during yesterday's Burroughs-Glendale meet at Burroughs. The younger Morris, a class C vaulter who stepped into varsity competition, failed to place as teammates Steve Hamilton and Dave Kelley soared 13 feet. Hamilton was awarded first place on fewer misses as Burroughs won the Foothill League meet 71-42." Burroughs High School is in Burbank.
